en Midwifery Orginal research <span style="line-height:2;"><span style="font-family:Times New Roman;"><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="unicode-bidi:embed"><span style="color:#2980b9;"><b><i><span new="" roman="" times="">Background:</span></i></b></span> <span new="" roman="" times="">Labor is an important experience for women that affects them physically and emotionally. Women and their families need safety and a humanistic approach during labor. Measuring women&rsquo;s perception of respectful maternity care provided in health facilities is important to provide holistic and humanistic care during labor. </span></span><br> <span style="unicode-bidi:embed"><span style="color:#2980b9;"><b><i><span new="" roman="" times="">Objectives:</span></i></b></span><span style="color:#000066;"><b> </b></span><span new="" roman="" times="">This study aimed to evaluate the psychometric properties of the Turkish version of the respectful maternity care (RMC) scale.</span></span><br> <span new="" roman="" times=""><span style="color:#2980b9;"><b><i>Methods:</i></b></span><span style="color:black"> <span style="background:white">This methodological study was conducted on 150 postpartum women </span><span class="fontstyle01" new="" roman="" times=""><span style="color:black"><span style="font-weight:bold"><span style="font-style:normal"><span style="font-weight:normal">in Adana, Turkey from</span></span></span></span></span> <span style="background:white">January to June 2021.</span> Data were analyzed in SPSS v.22 and AMOS v.22 using suitable analysis methods.&nbsp; Researchers studied the RMC scale for the reliability of language, content, construct, validity, and internal consistency. The validity analysis of the scale was examined using Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The Root Mean Square Error of Approximation (RMSEA), Comparative Fit Index (CFI), Goodness of Fit Index (GFI), and Adjusted Goodness of Fit Index (AGFI) were used for confirmatory factor analysis.</span></span><br> <span style="unicode-bidi:embed"><span style="color:#2980b9;"><b><i><span new="" roman="" times="">Results:</span></i></b></span><span new="" roman="" times=""> The Turkish version of RMC has 12 items and three components.&nbsp; An analysis of the new results indicated a three-factor structure with a Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) value of .84 explaining 70.74% of the total variance.
